Our Story

Family-owned and operated, the venerable Peking Duck House offers the best Cantonese, Szechuan and Mandarin style fine dining options, as well as flavorful Americanized classics and a variety of health-conscious entrees. 

The Peking Duck House, a popular landmark in Pompano Beach, established in 1985, is known for its famous Peking Duck and many other delicious Asian delights.

Peking Duck is one of the best-known Beijing dishes and one of the most sophisticated arts of Chinese cooking. The meat is prized for its delicious crispy skin. Our servers will prepare the Peking Duck for you tableside, by wrapping tender slices of roasted duck meat plus the crispy skin, plum sauce and scallions in a thin pancake. The duck is our house specialty and does not require advance notice.

Chef Kan-Fat Lam brings his Hong-Kong culinary expertise to the Peking Duck House Kitchen. With 40 plus years of cooking experience our Chef has created an impressive menu including authentic signature dishes such as Happy Family, Eight Treasures, Mu Shu Chicken or Beef, General Chow Chicken, Orange Beef and Honey Garlic Chicken.

Peking Duck House provides extensive menu options, excellent taste, high-quality ingredients and big portions. Most guests leave with a doggy bag to be enjoyed the next day.

Most dishes are prepared fresh to order, and can be prepared to our customer’s dietary needs, if requested upon ordering. Just advise your server or order taker of your personal preferences and we will alter our cooking to your liking.

Peking Duck House provides dine-in, catering, take-out and delivery service to the Pompano Beach area.

Our Specialty Peking Duck 

The creation of the Peking Duck dates back to the Ming Dynasty, approximately 600 years ago. Cooks from all over China traveled to Beijing to cook for the Emperor. Only the most sophisticated Chefs could cook in the palace kitchens. It was in these kitchens where the Peking Duck was first created and crafted to perfection by palace Chefs.

We prepare well in advance. First, air is pumped into the duck to stretch and loosen the skin, then boiling water is repeatedly spread over the bird. The duck is air dried and coated with a special honey glaze and hung for 8 hours. Finally,
the duck is then roasted in a special oven for a period of time until the 
meat is tender and the skin crispy to perfection. The duck is served in the original Peking style with our house made pancakes, plum sauce and scallions.
